Handmade Biscayne Ribbed Hat—Biscayne National Park
Inspired by the colors in Biscayne National Park, green is influenced by the lush greenery and mangrove trees, while the blue echoes the color of the ocean.
Made with soft, warm alpaca and mohair yarn, and double brimmed, this hat is perfect for those cold, winter months. Ribbed stitching makes this hat versatile for different sizes as stretches to fit. Fully hand crafted and carefully intertwined yarns, ensures a truly unique hat. Only one made, once it’s gone, it’s gone.
As with any handmade piece, product may be open to slight imperfections.
Colors may appear slightly different from photo to natural world.
CARE: dry cleaning or hand wash in luke-warm to cold water, lay flat to dry.

FAQ
- Q: Does the painting come with a Certificate of Authenticity?
A: Yes. Every original in every collection is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity, the name of the piece, the date of creation, signature, and the specific National Park or location where the study was conducted.
- Q: Will the colors fade over time?
A: I use professional, artist-grade gouache, acrylic pigments, & charcoal known for their high lightfastness and opacity. To ensure the colors remain as vibrant as the day they were painted, I recommend framing your miniature with protective glass and avoiding humid environments like bathrooms or direct sunlight locations.
- Q: Is the packaging suitable for gifting?
A: Absolutely. Each miniature is treated as a piece of history. The painting (and accompanying poem for The Journey collection) are wrapped in aesthetic materials and presented in a way that is ready for gifting to a fellow hiker, park enthusiast, or collector.
- Q: Do you take commissions for specific National Park locations or other locations?
A: While "The Journey" follows a specific chronological path, I do occasionally open windows for commissions of special vistas, personal park memories, or other requests. Please contact me at lauravanmoorleghem@gmail.com to inquire about my current commission schedule and information
- Q: I have a problem with my order, now what?
A: I take special care in creating, writing, packaging, and shipping my orders. However, I want you to love your artwork. If you have any questions or issues with your order please contact me at lauravanmoorleghem@gmail.com within 7 days of your order being recieved.
